Dr. Shamshad Zarina (Visiting Professor & Founder Director)

Research Interests:

Protein Structure function relationship, Proteomics, Bioinformatics. Proteomic profiling studies on oral carcinoma in Pakistan. Role of glycation in development of cataract formation. Taxon specific crystallins, Antioxidant enzymes and their expression. Drug screening against DNA and RNA viruses. Drug induced apoptosis studies on liver cancer cell lines. Using bioinformatics tools to understand structure function relationship of proteins.

Dr. Zehra Manzoor (Associate Professor/Director)

Research Interests:

Recent research interests include comparative proteomics, functional proteomics, biomarker identification and drug-induced modifications in breast, liver and oral cancer tissues, serum and cell lines. Dr. Manzoor’s list of publications includes international, peer-reviewed and reputed journals of the relevant field.

Dr. Faraz Moin (Assistant Professor)

Research Interests:

Current research interest of Dr. Syed Faraz Moin is Proteomics/Protein Biochemistry that includes protein characterization from snake venom, saliva, dental material, plant, and microbial origin. Currently, Dr. Moin is working on dental material specifically characterization of nanocomposites and proteins extracted from the dentine. He has authored international publications in the field.

Dr. Amber Noman (Assistant Professor)

Research Interests:

Dr. Amber Noman is working on protein identification, quantification, and protein-protein interactions having aim to identify signaling networks of cancer cells that can be employed for therapeutic interpolation. Current research interest of Dr. Noman focuses on ASS1 gene regulation in hepatocellular carcinoma and the identification of carcinogenesis in liver cancer through EGFR pathway.

Dr. Kanwal Haneef (Assistant Professor)

Research Interests:

Current research interest includes stem cell differentiation in response to hypoxia, genetic modifications, and small molecule treatments. This includes stem cell isolation, propagation, characterization, and their therapeutic applications. Dr. Haneef is also investigating the molecular mechanisms regulating the differentiation of stem cells using proteomics techniques.

Dr. Mehtab Alam (Associate Professor)

Research Interests:

Research interest of Dr. Mehtab Alam is based on Peptide synthesis, Toxinology, Venom Chemistry, Ion channel modulators, Isolation and purification of proteins, Protein Bioinformatics, and Therapeutic peptides.
